September Director’s Message

Fellow Wingers:

I really hope you all have had a chance to get out and ride this past few weeks. The weather has been great and the roads…well they are what we make them. With Autumn approaching we need to take advantage of as much riding time as possible.

Our two District Rides, The Island Loop and Gypsy Run were extremely successful. Fun was had by all and it was a platform that brought several chapters together. People getting to know each other from other chapters…go figure!

Another excellent event caught my attention, “Wings for a Smile“. Our BCMDT (British Columbia Motorcycle Drill Team) got together along with several members from chapters in the district to add a smile to several seniors at the Waterford Senior’s Complex in Tsawwassen, BC on August 18th. The seniors got a look and a ride! Not many miles required for a whole lot of smiles. Check the video out on the District NWC Web Site: https://gwrra-nwc.com/ .

Did you know that the BC Motorcycle Drill Team is made up of members from the lower mainland chapters of our great district? I encourage you all to check out their performance at Rally’s and Special events when the opportunity presents itself. They are very skilled and I have witnessed some remarkable riding over the years. Our district is very proud to represented by such skilled riders. Check them out at: http://bcmdt1.blogspot.com/

Chapter BC-C held it 3rd fully sold out ARC this September. This is a first and a trend I want to see continue. My goal is to get all chapters in the district hosting at least one ARC in the next year. We have very competent training and excellent instructors. There is no reason this cannot happen. I will be working to see that this happens!

I am pleased to announce the first N.W.C District Rally. The Rallies will occur on a biennial basis beginning in 2019. Rally dates are as follows: July 25th, 26th, 27th, 28th 2019. Location will be 100 Mile House B.C. Stay turned for further details.

Thank you for being members of the GWRRA. Your membership and participation are what makes the GWRRA the finest International Motorcycle Riding organization in North America.
Until I see you all again, Be safe – Ride safe.

Respectfully
Kevin Bramhoff
District Director – District N.W.C “The Great North West Coast”
